Welcome to our new blog!

“I believe the Bible alone is the answer to all our questions, and we need only to ask
repeatedly and a little humbly, in order to receive this answer.  One cannot
simply read the Bible, like other books.  One must be prepared to enquire of it.
Only thus will it reveal itself.  Only if we expect from it the ultimate answer,
shall we receive it.  That is because in the Bible God speaks to us . . . “
Dietrich Bonhoeffer
p 136  Bonhoeffer:  Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy , Eric Metaxas,2010.

Dear Friends,
God does speak to us in His Word – and we are excited to see more opportunities for leadership training that is much more than simply “reading” the Bible.

Our 18 months with Entrust have pushed us to be better listeners as God speaks to us and to our staff, through His Word.  We have pushed past the “new” from six months ago, to embrace what God is leading us to -- how He is opening opportunities for greater ministry, greater resources for current ministries, and new partnerships for effective Bible and leadership training initiatives.

Please peruse our blog and write back - we would love to hear from you!  Please continue to pray – we depend on your prayer support as we hear God’s clear voice and rely upon His strength for the leadership of Entrust.

Thank you for your interest in our ministry and your commitment to the Bible – to the necessity of church leaders being trained in how to use the Word of God truthfully and effectively.  We see its transforming power in the lives of church leaders, men and women who have no other alternatives for this equipping.
You are with us – God is speaking!

Recent and Current Activities
February - India and Thailand – David’s trip to explore potential partnerships in Orissa (India) and with the Lisu (China).

March
- Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) – World Evangelization Conference (WEC) – meeting with students, staff and leadership of other missions, as well as presenting Entrust to DTS students at a luncheon event.  A great time to encourage students to consider Entrust as they prepare for ministry.

March – April
- Planning and preparing for our Entrust Board Meetings and All Staff Conference – we will be in Izmir, Turkey with about 120 staff and their families for about five days of community building, vision-casting, prayer and study of God’s Word.  Please pray for God’s Spirit to be among us, for  His Presence to permeate all that we think, say, sing, or do – and that He alone will be glorified!

Future Travel
May - David will be in Austria and Hungary for three weeks in May to interface with leaders in ministry at two different conferences exploring how do we effectively serve the renewal of the European Church?  Meeting with Entrust field staff while in country.

July-August
- Chicago (late July – early August; – specific dates TBD) We are considering July 24th – August 6th or longer. – We pray that we can see you and share about what God is doing!  Feel free to contact us with dates you might be available – so we can schedule accordingly!  We are looking forward to seeing you!

Family
Someone said that we have neglected to give you family updates – here goes!

Jessica -
Very busy as a photographer/entrepreneur, living in Ventura, CA.  She and a girlfriend have two photographer “necessities” on the market.  Check them out at www.cameraslingers.net and www.lensskins.com!  Every photographer needs one of each!   She also represents a photographer/teacher, Scott Robert Lim, setting up his workshops for eager photographers.

Matt, Monika, and Olive – Only a 30 minute drive from us to babysit, have dinner or to celebrate a family event.  Olive is approaching nine months – so much fun!  Monika works a few shifts a month at St. Joseph’s Hospital, and Matt stays busy at Accenture Technologies – with some consulting trips on occasion.

Josh, Megan and TBD,
– Phoenix, AZ - Any day now this first year med student will coach/support his sweet wife through the labor and delivery of their daughter. (I think he should get extra credit for this homework, don’t you?)  Megan keeps busy until then with her role with Teach for America, – mentoring her core members who are first and second year teachers.  We plan to meet this wonderful granddaughter the first week of May; – maybe it will be her two week birthday!
